Have you hugged your bra today??

American Idol Rant

(regarding Darwin/Meesha)

Yes, her hair was dry. And her voice was horrific. I think it (her speaking voice) was like Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, only drug out at a slower pace. Her lipstick was hideous. Her confidence mind boggling. But she WASN't WEARING A BRA!!! Why? Why why why??? I couldn't take my eyes off of them. Her mother's looked better! She was dancing with no bra! Where were the nipples, btw? Wouldn't the excitement of being there have well, *excited* her?

*sigh* I actually had a whole other thing to blog about but this is all I can think about tonight.

So here's your question: When is it ok to not wear a bra? Is there a size limit? Age? Place? Type of clothing? Have you ever done it?

my confession; I've done it. It's been a LONG time, but I have done it. *hangs head* I gave it up after I realized that how it looked while standing motionless in front of the mirror, is not the same as it looks while you are moving. That was years ago. I've grown to love my bras and what they can do. I do think it can be pulled off and look kinda sexy, but it depends on a LOT! Oh, and not by me.

Oh I don't think it is ever sexy really unless you are really flat. I have never done it well cause it is very uncomfortable to me.

I thought these two people were very bizarre. I could not tell if it was a joke at first. I can't believe the mother looks that way too. She actually looked better than the daughter.

heh.

I've gone braless to different place where I knew I wouldn't really see anybody or when I'm wearing a lot of clothes and a coat or jacket. Mine aren't quite so big.

I'm undecided on how I feel about this chick and her mother. On one hand, people know what is going to happen to them in front of Simon. On the other hand, I honestly feel that some of these contestants are mentally ill and it makes me feel bad for them. The one guy, I don't remember his name, the one with big eyes, I actually believe may have a form of autism. So it bothers me that they let him on the show so that they could make fun of him. His behavior, manuerisms, etc where very similar to those of my niece who is autistic. *sigh*
I must be feeling sensitive today or something.

I think people with small oobies can pull off braless, although I don't prefer the look.

Someone on the radio called about the braless singer issue this morning. Little did this girl know that her oobies would be a national topic of discussion.

And I agree with carey. When someone seems like they actually have a diagnosed or undiagnosed mental illness, I just feel horrible for the situation they are in. I often wonder if some mean bullies convinced them to come and try out.

I didn't watch the show but I agree with those who don't like obviously incompetent or delusional peole being set up for mockery. I think there are enough assholes in the world who can used for that purpose.

That said, I went braless through most of the 70s. I married Tom without a bra on, lol. I was a B cup, and I felt very sexy braless. I looked nothing like that photo of dangly girl.

I wear one all the time now. Of course my oobies are bigger now too.

Honestly, I can't remember the last time I wore a bra.

I have the show TiVoed and look forward to watching - maybe tonight.

I'll confess that I go braless *all* the time. What does that say about me?

I'll also confess that I *always* notice when a woman is braless, which I think puts me in the "normal guy" category, so if you're looking for that kind of attention, you'll likely get it by going braless. It's easier to pull off if you are smaller.

Oh, and I don't go braless outside of the house. it hurts when my boobs scrape on the cement.

Carey, you bring up a good point. In fact, during last nights show when the one guy sang Unchained Melody, they let the whole song play out, even though he clearly sucked. He did not appear to be mentally challenged (though he was a bit odd) but he *did* seem like a really nice guy. I wondered why they let the whole song go through...it was unnecessary embarrassment for him. There are alot of "normal" cocky people I'd much rather see be embarrassed.

I do have a question though. If one is handicapped enough to go on, and delusional enough to think they are great, how devastating do you think it is when they are told they are no good? I wonder if they really have the capacity to understand that. (this is not directed at Carey, and I am genuinely curious) Most seem to get a really cocky attitude when told they are bad. (not the two being mentioned here though)

Anyhow, LOL @ HD amd MTW! Silly boys!

I knew a girl in college who was as big as me who would go braless all the time. And wear white shirts. The guys all loved her.
Once I took out the trash wearing only a sweatshirt. But that's it.

I think to be able to pull off the braless look, you have to be on the small side, but more important than size, the "girls" have to be perky and firm. Once they start sagging, even just a little, it just looks bad. And if you have perpetual motion while you walk, it looks really bad.

I'm braless right now. *grin* Sometimes the puppies have to be free!

Never in public though.

I have to admit that I made fun of her the other night. It was the lipstick and the way she spoke that gave me gigglepants.

The one that really bothered me was the woman who said her son loved her singing but her hubby told her she was wasting her time. They ripped her apart and I really did feel bad for her.

They do go too far with some of the auditioners though. The people that really piss me off are the asshats that convince the unfortunate ones to try out. Not funny.

OMH, DH & I couldn't believe that girls boobs. They were almost down to her knees. What was she thinking?

My boobs are small and perky and I sometimes go out in public braless (sweatshirt). The minute I get into the house from work, the bra comes off.
