Exhausted

Emotionally, physically and mentally.

I could do a list of things I have to get done this week (Holy Carp! The week's almost over!) but I won't bore you with any of that. Suffice it to say, I've been busy. And negligent of my blog. And of my blog friends. I will do better starting, um...next week? Wait no, that's the kids last week of school and we have their promotion and party to plan,..so sometime after that and before my brother's wedding, I will be here more. And at your blogs more.

Now for my questions:

What is the worst/rudest thing you've ever said to someone who was annoying you in public?

and...

What is your favorite wedding memory (not including your own)?

Tuesday Randoms (and a PSA)

1. I miss Boo.

2. I have been busy doing my online traffic school. I think I should have just done a class in person, because it's hard to concentrate (for me) on the online one.

3. My brother cancelled his wedding. Not the marriage, just the actual wedding. Now they want to elope, and very soon. I guess they can always get to know each other after they're married. /sarcasm

4. My DD told her teacher that I said he looked like Tom Selleck. Is that definitely a compliment? Should I be embarrassed? *blush*

5. I am really rooting for Blake to win American Idol, because I just don't care for Jordin, though I think they are pimping her.

::PSA:: Doing cartwheels after the age of 30 (and after years of *not* doing them) can really eff up an already effed up shoulder. On the upside, it shuts up kids who are challenging you and don't believe you can do them.

Ugh. Was going to update with something light but instead I'll remind any motorcycle riders to NOT EFFING RIDE MOTORCYCLES! A friend was dragged to his death tonight, after not being seen and hitting a car. His young (20 something) daughter witnessed the whole thing from her car, as she followed him. Apparently it was quite gruesome. *sigh* This will also affect my brother's wedding date, since it is his fiance's uncle who died. The man's daughter was to be in the wedding. Poor family.

Glow's Questions

1. If you went to dinner with Jesus who would pick up the check?

I would offer, but he would refuse.

2. If you had to eliminate one state from the United States, which one would it be?

Kentucky. I hate the Jerry Springer show and that's where they come from, right?

3. If Spiderman and Superman were forced to fight to the death, who would win? Why?

Superman. I *heart* Supes.

4. Sawyer, Jack or Sayid?

Sawyer - no contest <--Glow's answer was perfect

5. Mohinder, Nathan or Peter?

I'll say Peter since I trust Glow on this one. I have no idea who these people are.

6. For the next hour you have to listen to one song on repeat. What song is it?

Make out Club by Gym Class Heroes or
Numb, by Linkin Park

7. What is your favorite movie? Why?

I really liked Crash. It made me think for days afterward, which is unusual for movies to do. I also consider Love Actually and Ladyhawke among my favorites.

8. Who is your favorite actor/actress?

I love Edward Burns and Drew Barrymore.

9. Avril Lavigne. Yes or no?

Eh, don't care.

10. Do you have a job or a career?

Neither. Stay at home mom, currently. Is that a job?

11. Would you move out of state for a job?

No. My family is here. On second thought, yes. ;-)

12. Have any sharks been jumped by American Idol?

I don't think about stuff like that. I enjoy the show or I don't, but I don't like to analyze them too much.

13. Have you ever gone to a concert by yourself? If so, would you do it again? If not, would you?

Not a chance. I hesitate to go *with* someone, much less alone. I *would* sit in a piano bar (on a ship) by myself though.

14. Did your mom and/or dad make you do chores? If so, what were they?

Not sure if they made me, but I did quite a few. In fact, by a certain age, I did almost all the chores (such as cooking and cleaning). The outside stuff was for the boys.

15. Would you go to a sex toy party with your mom?

Not anymore, but once upon a time...

16. If you were to have a sex toy party, would you invite your boss?

I had a crush on my old boss, so no. Or yes. Hmmm.

17. How big is too big?

*snort* Cannot answer this.

18. What is your favorite reality show?

Big Brother, followed by the Bachelor.

19. Do you have a favorite reality show contestant?

Will Kirby *dreamy sigh*

20. Could you whistle that little tune at the beginning of Peter Bjorn and John’s “Young Folks” for me right now?

Yes, if I could whistle or knew the melody.

21. Howard Stern. Yes or no?

Yes.

22. Do you know any local bands that you would like to pimp?

Nope.

23. Name one state you would like to visit that you have not visited.

New York

24. Why would Pink perform on American Idol after adamantly not giving clearance for the contestants perform her songs?

Because she's a celebrity and they are notoriously stupid and anal.

25. Multi-grain, wheat or white?

White, though not often.

26. Carrots dipped in peanut butter?

Eww, no.

27. Do you add extra butter to your popcorn at the movie theater?

No, I usually ask for "light on the butter" or no butter.

28. Do you have a favorite pair of underwear? What do they look like?

Yes, black hipsters.

29. Name one country song that will help convince non-fans that it isn’t all bad.

I'm not a country fan, but I used to love anything by Reba. And if Alan Jackson can't convince you, nothing will. *swoony sigh*

30. What is in the trunk of your car?

Ack! Of course you ask now! At the moment, there is a pretty bra, blue jeans, and a bottle of Goldschlager. I believe there is also a blanket and an umbrella.

31. What is the first thing that comes to your mind when I say Marky Mark?

*swoon* and the movie Fear.

32. Which character from a movie or television show would you be?

I once took an online test that told me I most resembled Jill Taylor (Patricia Richardson's role) from Home Improvement. *shrug* That or Charlotte, from Sex and the City.

33. Who was the last person you hugged?

My son.

34. Have you ever been on a cruise?

Yes.

35. Will I be able to sleep in a tiny closet-sized room on a cruise ship with no windows while constantly worrying and missing my kids?

Yes, the ship will rock you to sleep, and the kids will be fine, I promise.

*procrastinating*

I am going to do Glow's questions, but am too tired right now. So my question for YOU is,

If you could go on one reality TV show, which one would it be and why?
And along with that, is it the one you think you'd be best at, or just one you think would be fun?

I think I might be good at Big Brother, if only I didn't have to be on camera for three months, lol.
Survivor, no way. Can't eat that crap. Or drink the icky water. Too much of a germ phobe to be close to that many dirty people.

TAR is too fast paced for me. I can't even play video games because I get too anxious, so there's no way I could handle that.

According to my kids, I'm not cut out out American Idol, either. *grin*

Grrr!

I went to Wal Mart the other day because my DD begged me to. I can't even remember what she needed now, but we went. We had about 10 things in our cart when we were ready to go, so I went to the "Express Line" where it says you must have 10 or less items. I did not immediately pay attention to the lady checking out in front of me, but after several people lined up behind me, I noticed that the delay was because she had at least 50 items! And most were children's clothes, so the cashier had to remove the hangers and fold each thing, as she rung them up!

I listened as the customers behind me complained, and then watched as they started skipping to the check out in front of us. I kept waiting, thinking patience was important. The more I stood there though, and the wal mart cashier never once acknowledged any of the other customers (particularly ME, since I was there the longest and hadn't complained) the more pissed I got. I thought she should have at least looked up and said *something* letting me know how frustrating it must be. Even eye contact can say a lot. She never did. When the woman with the kids clothes was about done, I decided at the last minute to go the other line, because I realized I was so agitated that I didn't have it in me to be nice to the cashier.

I checked out, and when I got home, I immediately called the store. This is the second time I've called and complained about service somewhere lately, and it's weird because it's totally unlike me. Anyhow, I was surprised to hear (from the manager) that they are "not allowed to make a customer leave the line, for fear of embarrassing them". Wow. I can think of a million ways to nicely tell someone they need to go the next line. Anyhow, the manager also said the cashier *should* have acknowledged the waiting customers, though.

*sigh* So I think I got the cashier in trouble. The manager sounded pissed and said she was going to go right then and have a talk with her. I can't tell whether I feel happy or bad about that.

On another note, Survivor did nothing for me this season. I did not care for anyone in the final 3, nor did I care for the person who was voted out 4th (in case someone doesn't want to know yet, I'm leaving names out). I think I only cared about Alex. *dreamy sigh* And Boo cleaned up nicely too, didn't he??

sheesh!

My brother is getting married on July 7th, I guess. That's if he doesn't move the date up again. He met her about a month ago. Moving quickly, eh? Her name is not Sophie, btw. I've only been around her a couple times. She seems nice enough. She also has a gold lamé purse. *sigh* I'm trying to keep a positive attitude, and not assume the worst (which would be that this will end badly). I added some pics of them on my slideshow, btw.

Moving on...

I went to my towns parade last weekend. Not much to see until!... I spotted something! Is it Gus? And who is the imposter banana?? And where was Sophie during all of this? *giggle* *bad Tab*

And finally, this guy. Who is he, you ask? I have no idea. I just thought he was cute. *shrug*

In summation, while I do not generally like bananas, I am completely open to banana chips. I also like my new banana scented suntan lotion. :)

Please, tell me what you love or hate about bananas. Plastic or otherwise.

p.s. if you zoom in on the banana picture, the guy on the left reminds me of George Michael for some reason.

finally!

I met Boo on Friday morning. We started out at Peet's coffee. At first, it was just the two of us, but finally, she brought Sanjana in. OMH, the looks we got! Boo was a crack up! She noticed a man in the shop who was looking at us (the banana mostly) and as she was holding Sanjana upright on her lap, she said to the guy, "I'm just happy to see you". *snort*! The guy couldn't stop giggling! After we chatted for a while (mostly about you) we decided to take a look around the area. First, here is the picture of us at Peet's with an intrigued worker.

We found a neat little "Family Park" nearby, and went to check it out. We found some huge rocking horses! Boo shoved a kid off this one, so we could ride it together. She said it was very important that the blue on Sanjana match the blue horse. It was very "Bree" like. *rolls eyes*

Sanjana disappeared on us later, and we searched everywhere for him. We found him here, in the Dippin' Dots freezer. We noticed the words "banana split" and decided maybe this was his idea of a sick joke. Fortunately, he didn't suffer from any freezer burn.

I have a few more pics (as does Boo) that I will post later. :)

All in all, meeting Boo was a blast. We had a good amount of time to talk, and were able to cover each and every one of you. In detail. Much detail. ;-)

I did tell Carey that she was easy, but to be fair, she was! And Carey agreed! She was easy to talk to. We started off right away as if we'd always known each other. I'm hoping I can see her again, someday.

P.S. to Jen ~ Boo tried to kiss me at the end, but I told her about us. She was pretty cool with it. *besa*

Updated for Answer *hyperventilates*

So, Jen asked me if I have kissed another girl, since meeting her. My answer is....

::drumroll::

No.

I don't think I can ever kiss another woman, after having Jen. Well, I didn't "have" her exactly, but you know what I mean. *grin*

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I get to meet Boo today! Ohmygosh, what should I wear? What do I say? I'm so excited!!
And!! I got to speak to her while she was at dinner with Carey, Weltek and Michelle, and they all said hi to me! *big goofy smile*
In other (unrelated) news, my older brother is engaged. He's known her for three weeks! :o I have not really met her yet, though I knew her when she was a kid (she's 25 now). Not sure what I think about this. I'm nervous, and will share more later.
For The Office fans, goodness! Was that not an especially hilarious episode last night? I think I'm going to track Jim down and kidnap him. He's too adorable (though about 15 years too young for me)
Ok, wish me luck everyone! I need to figure out how to get where I'm supposed to meet Boo. :)
Red shoes??
I've noticed Breezy has been walking around in some hot red high-heels lately, and I have no idea where they came from. Was it a private joke? *confused*
At any rate, it made me realize that *I* have some red shoes I've never worn. I dug them out (ok, grabbed them off the shoe shelf) and made an outfit around them. I tried it all on, and paraded it in front of the family, seeking approval. After everyone said it was ok, I decided I just don't have what it takes to wear red shoes. *hangs head* I have only ever worn black, brown or *maybe* off white, depending on the occasion (like at my wedding). I want to wear the red! They are cute strappy sandals, and I had them on with long navy shorts and a red fitted shirt. But when I looked in the mirror, all I could see was the red shoes. Tell me it's ok to wear red shoes please!
Also, tell me, is there anything you can't, or won't wear?? Anything that makes you feel conspicuous? Oooh! Does anyone here have those gold or silver lamé purses or shoes? They are pretty trendy, but again, I can't seem to do it. I need fashion courage! I also can't wear my high heels with shorts or capris. What are your "can'ts"?
edited to add~ the "lam`e" is supposed to have the squiggle, but when I publish, it goes away. *pout*
