Thanks for all the hair feedback. I've decided on getting it cut and layered but not trying to find a specific "style" like the one below. I just don't think I'd do it everyday. So I'm excited about that and will do it when I get back from Cayucos. I'll be leaving Friday morning and should be back on Monday evening, since I have class Monday night.
I took DD out shopping tonight and we ended up at Mervyn's (which I hate) and she got a package of socks (6 pair) a pair of flip flops and a dress, all for $30! Not bad, eh? Still, being there reinforced why I hate it so much. I prefer Kohl's or even Target, any day.
I went to Chili's with her after that and we shared a hamburger. The big, new ones with bacon and cheese and onion rings and all that. Now I'm all mad at myself and wish I could figure the calories out. *sigh*
I also bought another thing of hair dye because my lighter roots are starting to show. I *might* lighten it up in the summer, but for now, I guess I'm sticking to the brunette thing.
I'm really tired, so I guess this is it.
I'll have lots of pics when I get back (assuming we don't get eaten by sharks...)
Have a great weekend everyone!

Yes or No?
I am seriously considering cutting my hair. To me, this is short. Here is a picture of me, with the (computer generated) haircut I like, though I would probably have it just a tiny bit longer. Be honest, yes or no?

Decisions
::update::
We are not going to the services. It looks like there will be a nasty storm anyways, which would have made it harder. My friend in the hospital is worse than we thought and needs to have a heart valve replaced right away, which is scary because the staph infection is still going strong and may attack the new heart valve as well. *sigh* I think my aunt is ok, though I'm not really sure. My mom talked to her and she has a heart problem, but for some reason I got the impression it's not a huge deal. We'll see. Thanks for the nice comments and advice!
So in two weeks I'm supposed to be going to Cayucos again. We went last year at this time too. This year, it would just be my parents, myself and the kids, and of course the relatives who own the beach house (for that week).
I just found out my cousins grandfather passed away after years of suffering with dementia. The funeral is the same weekend we are supposed to be out of town, but three hours from here, and about 7 hours in the opposite direction from the beach. I don't know what to do. My kids have been looking forward to this since last year...it's been the only thing they've talked about. My cousins and I are not close at all, but I did care about their grandfather, as I've known him since I was a small child. I'm also not close to my uncle "by marriage" (whose father died) or my aunt, but I'm still torn. My mom wants to go to the services, and I suppose she could represent the family on this, as I heard my dad does *not* feel obligated and in fact has been viewing this beach trip as some sort of life-line, getting him through some rough times at work lately.
On top of this, another friend I grew up with has a staph infection which has compromised his immune system and also caused a growth on his heart. He's in ICU nearby. I also found out tonight that my aunt Terri is in the hospital, though no one seems to know exactly why. *sigh*
How wrong is it that I just want to get away for the freakin' weekend and relax? It's hard to decide, hard to know what the "right" thing to do is.
What would *you* do?

I was doing a good amount of pitying myself today, and then I saw Puffy's announcment. My heart goes out to Survey's family and all the friends she has touched.
I will put aside all my petty complaints today and remember Survey, and her outlook on life, even when her's was not going as it should have.
She will be missed.

*sigh*
My mom recently gave me some old videos and told me to watch them with my family. Tonight, we hooked them up through the old camcorder (only way to watch them) and I got to see my babies at 3 months, and at a year and a half old. I hadn't seen any video of them at that age, since the video was actually taken. What a stroll down memory lane. I felt like a horrible mother, I have to admit.
Three things I'm embarrassed to admit:
1. When I started videoing my DD (at 3 months old) she started to cry right at that moment and I can be heard saying, "oh you brat!".
2. When I found my son stuck with his upper body hanging off the dining room table and his lower half dangling, you can hear me panicking, telling him "not to move" and then I run over to turn the light on so the video catches the view better. *totally appalled*
3. And finally, I spend about 10 minutes straight asking the kids to bring me the big red ball (almost as big as them) from their room, to the living room, where I'm taping them. They keep starting to bring it, then hitting the wall and getting bounced down to the floor, over and over. DD kept running it back to the room while DS kept trying to make it down the hallway. At one point, while watching the tape, I even commented out loud, "why the heck do I want that ball so bad?"... and then finally DD toddles it all the way to me, where I promptly tell her to take it to her room. *hangs head in shame*
I? Win the bad mother of the decade award. :(
But what I was wondering about, after watching all this, is who here has seen video of themself as a child, or baby? I've seen video from when I was about 9 or 10, doing ballet recitals. But nothing before then. How weird it would be to see myself as a baby, or toddler. I can't even imagine. And yet, kids of today will have that. How neat. How about you? What's the earliest video you have seen of yourself?

Nude Panties
Hi. My name is Tabitha.
And I own a pair of nude panties.
I hate nude underwear. Do you wear nude underwear and if so, why? Do you like it, or does it serve some sort of practical purpose?
I think I've had mine for almost 10 years, though to look at them, they look new. I almost *never* wear them unless I'm feeling sorry for myself, am sick (which is related to feeling sorry for myself), or am out of clean panties (which really means I don't want to go dig through the laundry basket). I remember streaking one day (can't remember why) and my daughter saw me and accused me of being naked. I tried to convince her I was not, and my panties were flesh colored, but she didn't believe me. Later, for whatever reason, she saw them (god, I must have partially dressed a lot that day) and she exclaimed, "Oh! You really ARE wearing nude panties!". Why that memory still strikes me as funny, I don't know. Maybe I pictured someone hearing that statement without having any of the rest of the story and how odd it would have sounded. I also do not own one single pair of white underwear (bras included). Is that odd? I think I need a nice white bra.
What about you guys?

These things....
All have something in common. Any guesses?
NYC Strawberry Lip Smoothie
Pour over cheddar microwave popcorn
Special dark espresso kisses
Vanilla sugar B&BW lip balm
KFC buffalo snackers
Nescafe Instant vanilla coffee
Diet vanilla Coke.
Here's a clue; I am afraid to *love* any product ever again, as I seem to have a knack for getting it discontinued. Oops, guess I just gave the answer away, lol. I still haven't found a replacement for my Bath & Body Works Vanilla Sugar lip balms, but need to, fast. I just discovered a new product made by Pringles, called Stix. The flavor I love is Honey Butter. They have 90 calories per serving (a package). So freakin' good, and SO probably going to be discontinued now. :(
Anything you loved that ever got discontinued? How did you cope?

About 15 seconds...
That's how long it takes me to log into my blog. And yet, I find that if I'm not already logged in (which is every time I get online) I tend to not comment on other blogs. But how dumb is that? I would often go and read, and then notice I wasn't logged in, and figure I'd comment later, but later often never came. So I apologize. I will do better to log in every day.
So, I went to class tonight. Ashley was sick and didn't go, so I was kinda nervous, but I did fine. Really, how could one *not* do fine? We went over all the technical parts of a computer. Please don't assume I know anything though, as I really didn't learn much. I even took notes, but they were mostly related to where my mind was wandering (example: I wrote, "guy across from me is a perv" and "ugly shoes next to me" and also stuff like, "I need coffee and antibacterial hand soap"). *sigh* Thank goodness everything she went over tonight is in my book so I can study it later.
About the perv; he would grin and giggle every time the teacher said the word "balls". Granted, she DID say we need to keep the mouse balls clean, and that WAS kinda funny, but he caught my attention last week when he giggled about a website called whitehouse.com (?) which I gather is pornographic or something. There is also a man with the worst comb-over I've ever seen. Ashley and I are fighting over him. *grin* Seriously dude, do you really think that looks better? Shave your head already!
Anyhow, I noticed on my Tivo that the Miss America pageant was recorded so I asked DH why and he said DS recorded it! *thud* Nice, eh? Darn kid. It's so funny to see him going through this awkward stage and being all girl crazy, and yet still having such an immature mind at times. Last night he came to me on the love-seat and opened his hand to reveal three little lego guys. He asked me which one looked the toughest (in all seriousness). I picked one (not really seeing a difference) and he said, "oh, well that's because you didn't see them with their gear, hold on, I'll be right back...". LOL! So he comes back and they have weapons and armor and stuff, so I picked a different one, and he seemed to approve of my new answer. It's just so funny to see two completely different sides emerging at the same time.
I recorded PaHo tonight but haven't watched it yet. Umm, can't think of anything else right now, so...
*smooches*
