And SO tired! Why do vacations always make you sleepy? We left on Friday and stayed a day longer than we intended, coming home on Tuesday instead of Monday. The highlights were;
~ Seeing dolphins and an otter
~ Almost stepping on a jellyfish!
~ playing in the ocean with the kids and getting knocked down by a shark (could have been a wave, I'm not entirely positive)...
~ the beach bonfire
~ playing lots of football with DS
~ getting ridiculously sunburned on my face
~ finally getting some tan back on my legs
I'll add a couple of pictures. I have to say, the best day for me might have been the first. All the girls went shopping while my dad and uncle went to look at antique shops, so DS and I decided to stay at the beach house by ourselves. The time I spent with him was priceless. I hadn't seen him laugh and smile like that in so long. He kept telling me I was "the best girl he knew at football", LOL! And I'm *not* good, so it was really his emotions talking, and that made me happy.
I did get burned really badly on my face and chest, but it was worth it. Oh, and when I got knocked down in the water, I also got a sand burn from the force of the water dragging me. It was scary!
All in all, I'm glad to be home.
My thoughts are with MTW today... please have a fast recovery! *smooches*
first pic: the shark/wave attack (I'm the one you can't see on the far left)

It sounds like you had a blast. Love the pictures. Glad you're back. *smooch*
Heh. Is that you barely visible above the deep water? And who got voted off at tribal council?
Seriously, it sound like you had a great time with your kiddos. Good for you!
Oops. That should have said "ankle deep" water above. ;-)
I love bonfires!
(I suppose no-one is suprised)
Great pictures! Did you know that you can check a box on your California tax return to donate money to saving and the care of sea otters. Unless they raise $250,000, the fund won't exist anymore. I love sea otters.
Such great pics, thanks for sharing.
Vacations make me sleepy too. I guess you get used to relaxing, lol.
So glad that it was a shark that got you and not the crocs.
I love the footprints picture and the one of you with DS, the best. So very nice.
*smooch*
Wow, that's beautiful! I love the footprints pic. You should blow that up and hang it in your house.
You are such a cute, good mommy. *smooch*
Did you even think of trying to wrestle the shark? Huh?
Between playing on that beach and going shopping you sure made the best choice!
Your son is looking so grown-up!
Glad you are back and that you had great time.
I can't believe how big your son is getting.
Thanks everyone, it's great to be back.
No puff, I did not know that. Good to know.
*glares at Carey*
*then smooches her*
I love the footprints picture the best, too. I just might frame it. :)
Swami, I'm still amazed at how visible all the changes in DS are! In the pics from last year, he still looked like a little kid. Now he's in full blown puberty. *sniff*
Wow those are terrific pics mm! Like everyone, that footprints pic is my fave. Great shot. Your son is indeed looking older. They grow up so fast don't they?
LMAO at you being knocked over by a shark. I can laugh because I'd likely think the same thing LOL.
Welcome back mm. Glad you had a fun time.
Love, love, LOVE the pics of the kids footprints in the sand. So gorgeous.
*smooch*
Glad you had a good time.
